The ZY-HD120 panoramic night vision device is only for national military and law enforcement.
Zhongyang developed a new Ground Panoramic Night Vision Goggles which called ZY-HD120Z. The purpose of the ZY-HD120Z is to provide the operator more information under goggles, allowing him to more quickly move through the OODA Loop (Observe, Orient, Decide, Act). Its most prominent feature is that the device has four separate image intensifier tubes, four separate objective lenses arranged in a panoramic orientation. The center two lenses point forward like traditional dual-tube goggles, giving the operator more depth perception, while two more tubes point slightly outward from the center to increase peripheral view.The two tubes on the right and the two tubes on the left are image spliced and fused at the eyepiece, and the user sees the two center images overlaid with the two outer images, resulting in an unprecedented 120° field of view, which is an unprecedented change and breakthrough for night vision equipment. The two right and left tubes, are mounted side-by-side on a support bridge and hung from an ANVIS-like night vision helmet mount, providing the user with a full range of adjustment options. They can also be easily removed from the mount as independent handheld night vision viewing devices.The IPD of the two system can be adjusted on the helmet mount.


 Battery
ZY-HD120 is not only powered by a battery on the device, but also by a remote battery packs, tethered to the unit via a standard DC cable. It comes with a pack that accepts four 3-Volt CR123A batteries that tend to power the unit for 50-80 hours (IR off). The remote battery pack provides a secondary function as a counterweight, which is needed considering the goggle weighs about 880g..
